Counting the Omer
Beginning with the second night of Pesach we count the Omer until we arrive in our calendar at Shavuot. To help you with the counting, we have prepared a leaflet for you with a calendar, the blessings, and the numbers (download link below and available in the Shul). Traditionally, the Omer is counted in the evening, after sunset. On October 7, 2023, the Supernova desert rave turned into a nightmare for 26-year-old Segev Kalfon. As the beat of the music pulsed through the crowd, Hamas terrorists descended upon the revellers, leaving chaos and devastation in their wake. Segev attempted to flee, but fate intervened. Baby and Toddler Group
Our weekly baby and toddler group has been running for many years and is a wonderful space for parents, grandparents and carers to meet and for them to bring their babies and toddlers for songs, craft, stories and play. Emergency Update on Israel
The synagogue’s Israel committee and SLIF held an Emergency Update on the Situation in Israel on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Sir Lawrence Freedman, Emeritus Professor of War Studies at King’s College London, shared his opinion on ‘What went wrong’. Emily Pater, UJIA Israel Director, and Richard Pater, BICOM, gave us a live update from Jerusalem.
